Summary
- This website only uses our own anonymous visitor statistics without cookies (see below) and no third-party tracking tools. Cookies from advertising partners (Google AdSense) are only set if you choose “Accept ads” in the consent banner.
- Fonts and all files are served from our own server, not from Google or other third parties.
- No external videos, maps or social media plugins are embedded. The only external script (Google AdSense) is loaded only after your consent.
Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by easyname GmbH, Vienna (processor under Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser identifier, referrer) in log files for secure and stable operation, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are kept only as long as needed for this purpose and then deleted automatically.
Anonymous visitor statistics (no cookies)
To understand which content is read and where visitors click, we collect anonymous, aggregated statistics with a self-hosted script on our own server (easyname, Vienna). It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not recognise returning visitors and builds no usage profiles, so no consent is required. Per page view we record: the page visited, the referring site (domain only), device type (mobile/tablet/desktop), browser language, campaign parameters (UTM), as well as clicks (position on the page, element clicked or link target), scroll depth reached and approximate time on page. The IP address is not stored; to count distinct visitors per day we derive only a truncated hash with a random value that changes daily, which cannot be attributed after that day. There is no session recording, no capture of inputs, camera or screen. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The browser setting “Do Not Track” is respected; nothing is recorded then. Aggregated data is deleted after 13 months at the latest.
Contact form and e-mail
If you write to us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed and no retention obligation applies. Via the contact form we process your name, e-mail address, subject and message and, for security reasons, briefly your IP address (abuse protection, max. 1 hour). The message is sent to us by e-mail and not passed on to third parties.
Orders, free downloads and memberships
For orders of digital products, sending free checklists and memberships we process your name, e-mail address and – for paid products – billing details in order to perform the contract and deliver the content by e-mail (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invoice-related records are kept for seven years due to statutory obligations (in particular § 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code, BAO; Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). We only send marketing e-mails if you have expressly consented; you can withdraw consent at any time by e-mail.
If online payment is offered (e.g. via Stripe), the payment provider processes payment data under its own responsibility and privacy policy. We do not receive full card details.
Advertising via Google AdSense (consent only)
If you choose “Accept ads”, we load Google AdSense, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may use cookies and similar technologies and process data (e.g. IP address, device and browser information, pages visited) to serve and measure ads; transfers to the USA are possible (Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). We store your choice only locally in your browser (localStorage). You can withdraw consent at any time via cookie settings. Google's information: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Affiliate links
Labelled affiliate links lead to third-party websites. Only when you click such a link may that provider set cookies or process data on its own site, subject to its privacy policy. Nothing is stored on this website in the process.
Newsletter: notification of new posts
You can enter your e-mail address to be notified by e-mail when a new post is published on this website. We use a double opt-in procedure: after signing up you receive an e-mail with a confirmation link; the subscription only becomes active when you click it. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted automatically after 7 days. We store: your e-mail address, language, time of sign-up and confirmation, the page on which you signed up and, until confirmation, a truncated hash of your IP address (abuse protection). The e-mails contain only notices about new posts – no third-party advertising, no tracking pixels, no open or click measurement. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every e-mail; this withdraws your consent and your data is deleted immediately. E-mails are sent from our own server (easyname, Vienna); addresses are never passed on to third parties. Whether you closed the newsletter box or signed up is remembered only locally in your browser (localStorage, no cookie) so that it does not appear again.

Anonymous usage measurement (heatmap)
Only if you choose “Agree” in the notice do we record anonymously where on our pages people click and where the mouse moves. We store only positions on the page (grid), the page address and the device type (desktop/mobile) – no IP address, no name, no profile. Your choice is stored only in your browser. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian TKG 2021). You can withdraw it at any time: withdraw consent.
